Holy Week 2026
Holy Week begins on Palm Sunday with Jesus entering the city of Jerusalem amid ecstatic praise and expectation.
Through the centuries, Christians have called this week Holy, because it is a week like no other.
With Jesus, we step into the heart of the gospel:
His suffering, His cross, the silence of the tomb, and the joyful morning of resurrection.
During this week, we follow Him to the places where it all happened:
The city, the temple, the streets.
A home, a table, a cross.
A tomb.
An empty tomb!
At each place, we pause and see how He lives, how He loves, how He surrenders, and how He trusts—and we begin to ask ourselves:
Where is my city?
My table?
My cross?
During Holy Week, we pay attention to what God wants to shape in us through a daily rhythm of prayer.
In the morning:
The Formation Journey guides us to once again pay attention to where Jesus wants to meet us during the day. We begin each day with a specific Scripture passage.
We practice listening with our hearts.
In the afternoon:
We use our imagination to place ourselves on the path that Jesus walked during this week. We imagine being there, watching and listening, and paying attention to what moves in our hearts. We do this individually, during a Praxis service, or together in a group.
During Holy Week, there will also be special Praxis services where you can practice these rhythms of prayer together with others.
On the Monday of Holy Week we will journey through Scripture, silence, and the Psalms we have been praying together during Lent. During these services, several singers will lead us in these prayers through song. You do not need to register for these services.
